Niels Winther Liner Agencies is expanding with a new route to North America

Niels Winther Liner Agencies (NWLA) enters a commercial agency agreement with Atlantic Container Line (ACL) by expanding their portfolio within the Roll-on/Roll-off (RORO), project cargo and container transport industry.

“This partnership is an important expansion for Niels Winther Liner Agencies, and it further cements our position in the market as an agent for Atlantic Container Line, a member of the Grimaldi Group of Naples, Italy. NWLA offers tailored transport and handling solutions within RORO, project cargo and containers.”  says CEO Henrik Otto Jensen.

Since 1967, ACL has been a leading carrier in the transatlantic market for specialized cargo, including project cargo, RORO,machinery, vehicles and containers. With a direct, weekly service to New York, Baltimore Norfolk and Halifax. With Halifax offering an express route to Central Canada and the U.S. Midwest. ACL ensures a reliable connection between Europe and North America.

ACL’s unique combination RORO/containerships (CONRO) are the only vessels of their kind in the world and can transport a variety of cargo types. The ships which are 296 meters long, have a capacity for 3,800 TEUs (both Dry and Reefer) as well as special decks for 1,000 cars and 4,000 lane meters of cargo including agricultural and construction equipment, machinery, trains, boats, trailers and break-bulk cargo on mafis. The ship’s 420 tons quarter-ramp makes it possible to load very large and heavy objects, with a door of 8 M high x 21,6 M wide.

NWLA has more than 25 years of experience in transport solutions within RORO, project cargo and container freight markets. The Company has offices in Copenhagen and Esbjerg. The office at the Port in Esbjerg performs Port agency tasks for several RORO shipping companies.
