Grimaldi Lines is strengthening trade links between China and West Africa with a new shipping route centered in Lagos. This initiative enhances cargo distribution to key destinations such as Tema, Abidjan, Douala, and Dakar, providing an efficient and sustainable logistics solution.

The route is serviced by Grimaldi’s latest G5 ConRo vessels, including the Great Cotonou, which sets a new industry standard with a capacity for 4,700 meters of rolling cargo, 2,500 cars, and 2,000 containers, up to 43% lower CO2 emissions compared to previous models, and shore power capability to reduce fossil fuel consumption in port, highlighting Grimaldi’s commitment to sustainable shipping.

Strengthening regional trade

With increasing demand for industrial goods, consumer products, and technology in West Africa, this new route offers a direct, reliable, and cost-effective shipping alternative. Lagos serves as a key hub, improving transit times and access to growing markets.
