China to West Africa
Grimaldi Group launches new route between China and West Africa
In January 2025, Grimaldi Group launched a new route connecting Shanghai to Lagos. This monthly service provides a direct link between two significant trade regions – Asia and West Africa – creating new opportunities for trade and logistics.
Strategic hub in Lagos
Lagos will serve as the central hub for onward distribution to major destinations across West Africa, including Tema, Abidjan, Douala, and Dakar. With growing demand for industrial products, consumer goods, and technology in the region, the new route offers a direct and competitive alternative to existing shipping lanes.

For companies involved in trade with Africa, this development represents a significant opportunity to streamline supply chains and reach key markets faster.
